Baosteel delivers steel plate to Harbin Electric (QHD) Heavy Equipment

The first CAP1400 nuclear plant constructed by Heilongjiang Province-based Chinese company Harbin Electric Corporation (QHD) Heavy Equipment Co, Ltd. (Harbin Electric (QHD) Heavy Equipment) has used composite rolled steel plates produced by Shanghai-based Chinese steelmaker Baosteel in its accumulator, with Baosteel thus becoming the first domestic enterprise capable of supplying composite rolled steel plate for CAP1400 nuclear plants, as announced by Baosteel.

On August 21, 2014, Harbin Electric (QHD) Heavy Equipment had inked a deal with Baosteel for the purchase of composite rolled steel plate for application in the accumulator of the CAP1400 nuclear plant.
