Baogang to produce 12.45 million mt of crude steel in 2014

On February 28, Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baogang Group) announced that in the current year it expects to produce 12 million mt of pig iron, 12.45 million mt of crude steel and 11.66 million mt of finished steel.

In addition to the above output volumes, Baogang subsidiary Wanteng Iron and Steel Co. plans to produce 795,000 mt of pig iron, 835,000 mt of crude steel and 810,000 mt of finished steel in 2014.

As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Baogang Group is targeting sales revenues of RMB 60 billion ($9.8 billion) in 2014.
