In late December (Dec. 21-30) last year, the average prices in
China of 16-25 mm HRB 400
rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 1,847.9/mt ($284.3/mt), RMB 1,918.3 /mt ($295.1/mt), RMB 1,921.0/mt ($295.5/mt), RMB 2,016.7/mt ($310.3/mt), RMB 2,610.7/mt ($401.6/mt) and RMB 2,135.7/mt ($328.6/mt), up RMB 39.3/mt ($6.1/mt), RMB 22.4/mt ($3.5/mt), RMB 47.4/mt ($7.3/mt), RMB 74.5/mt ($11.5/mt), down RMB 33.5/mt ($5.2/mt) and RMB 11.1/mt ($1.7/mt), or up 2.2 percent, 1.2 percent, 2.5 percent, 3.8 percent, and decreasing by 1.3 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively, compared to prices in mid-December (Dec. 11-20) last year, as announced by
China’s National Bureau of Statistics on January 5.
