Average HRB 400 rebar price in China increases in early December

In early December (Dec. 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 3,251.6/mt ($471.2/mt), RMB 3,252.3/mt ($471.3/mt), RMB 3,512.4/mt ($509.0/mt), RMB 3,807.3/mt ($551.8/mt), RMB 4,106.9/mt ($595.2/mt) and RMB 3,206.0/mt ($464.6/mt), up RMB 194.8/mt ($28.2/mt), RMB 175.5/mt ($25.4/mt), RMB 181.2/mt ($26.3/mt), RMB 213.2/mt ($30.9/mt), RMB 77.5/mt ($11.2/mt) and RMB 166.8/mt ($24.2/mt), rising by 6.4 percent, 5.7 percent, 5.4 percent, 5.9 percent, 1.9 percent and 5.5 percent, respectively, all compared to prices in late November (Nov. 21-30) this year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on December 14.
