In mid-October (Oct. 11-20) this year, the average prices in
China of 16-25 mm HRB 400
rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300
wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium
plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,021.8/mt ($318.4/mt), RMB 2,151.1/mt ($338.8/mt), RMB 2,052.6/mt ($323.2/mt), RMB 2,108.6/mt ($332.1/mt), RMB 2,865.5/mt ($451.3/mt) and RMB 2,366.8/mt ($372.7/mt), down RMB 12.7/mt ($2.0/mt), RMB 16.0/mt ($4.5/mt), RMB 3.9/mt ($0.6/mt), RMB 11.2/mt ($1.8 /mt), RMB 23.5/mt ($3.7/mt) and RMB 35.8/mt ($5.6/mt), decreasing by 0.6 percent, 0.7 percent, 0.2 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.8 percent and 1.5 percent, respectively, compared to prices in early October (Oct. 1-10), as announced by
China’s National Bureau of Statistics on October 24.
