In late September (September 21-30) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were respectively recorded at RMB 4,531.1/mt ($656.7/mt), RMB 4,667.7/mt ($676.5/mt), RMB 4,452.4/mt ($645.3/mt), RMB 4,381.4/mt ($635.0/mt) and RMB 4,510.2/mt ($653.7/mt), decreasing by RMB 19.8/mt ($2.9/mt), RMB 10.0/mt ($1.5/mt), RMB 49.2/mt ($7.1/mt), RMB 43.9/mt ($6.4/mt)and RMB 25.8/mt ($3.7/mt), i.e., down 0.4 percent, 0.2 percent, 1.1 percent,1.0 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively, compared to prices in mid-September (September 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
In late September, the average price of 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes was recorded at RMB 5,437.8/mt ($788.1/mt), up RMB 6.9/mt ($1.0/mt) or 0.1 percent compared to the price in mid-September.
