Average HRB 400 rebar price in China decreases in early December

In early December (Dec. 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 1,846.8/mt ($286.3/mt), RMB 1,935.1/mt ($300.1/mt), RMB 1,879.2/mt ($291.3/mt), RMB 1,923.9/mt ($298.3/mt), RMB 2,682.9/mt ($415.9/mt) and RMB 2,176.3/mt ($337.4/mt), down RMB 61.6/mt ($9.6/mt), RMB 62.2/mt ($9.6/mt), RMB 35.4/mt ($5.5/mt), RMB 19.4/mt ($3.0/mt), RMB 31.2/mt ($4.8/mt) and RMB 45.2/mt ($7.0/mt), decreasing by 3.2 percent, 3.1 percent, 1.8 percent, 1.0 percent, 1.1 percent and 2.0 percent, respectively, compared to prices in late November (Nov. 20-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on December 14.
