The Australian Customs Service has initiated an antidumping investigation into hollow structural sections (HSS) imported from China, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand, upon a petition filed by domestic producers OneSteel Trading Pty Ltd., Smorgon Steel Tube Mills Pty Ltd. and Orrcon Operations Pty Ltd. The application alleges that the subject goods have been exported to Australia at prices less than normal values and that the dumping has caused material injury to the Australian market. Upon the petition, the Customs has initiated an AD investigation for subject goods. The investigation period is January 1, 2005, through December 31, 2005.
