The Anti-Dumping Commission of the Australian government has announced its preliminary affirmative decision and the imposition of securities in the antidumping duty investigation regarding quenched and tempered steel plate imports from Finland, Japan and Sweden.

The commission has found preliminary dumping margins ranging from 18 percent to 39.8 percent for the three countries. It has decided to impose securities between 15.4 percent and 26.1 percent. The securities will be taken in respect of any interim dumping duty that may become payable in respect of the goods entered for domestic consumption on or after May 19, 2014.

The commission is expected to make its final decision in September 2014.

The product subject to the antidumping duty investigation currently falls under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Number 7225.40.00.
