Jiangsu Province-based Shagang Group, China's largest private steelmaker, has issued its list prices for steel plate for August this year.
Accordingly, the company has kept its offer price for 20 mm x 2,000 mm Q235B steel plate stable at RMB 3,850/mt ($565/mt) ex-works, for delivery in August.
Previously, the producer had kept its offer price for 20 mm x 2,000 mm Q235B steel plate stable at RMB 3,850/mt ex-works for delivery in July.
The steel plate prices in the spot market have been lower than steelmakers' list prices.
For August, Shagang Group has cut its HRC prices by $22/mt, while deciding to keep its steel plate prices stable, reflecting the decent demand for steel plate in downstream sectors such as shipbuilding, construction machinery and wind power.
