ATZ to increase production in 2012

In 2011, Tatarstan-based Almetyevsk Pipe Plant (ATZ), a subsidiary of Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK), plans to produce 187,000 mt of pipes, while in 2012 the company will produce 273,000 mt of products. In the January-August period of the current year, ATZ increased its pipe production by 10.2 percent compared to the same period of last year, to 124,651 mt. In August alone, the company produced 18,156 mt of pipes.

In August this year, ATZ shipped 17,996 mt of steel pipes. In January-August, ATZ increased its shipments of steel pipes by 4.3 percent year on year to 122,536 mt
