Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works exceeds steel production target for April

According to its data issued for April this year, Russian steel producer Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works (Ashinskiy) exceeded its production target for the month by 4.2 percent, registering a 12.6 percent increase year on year in its steel output to 59,902 mt, including about 57,904 mt of slabs - up 17.6 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, in April, Ashinskiy produced 51,689 mt of finished steel - up 12.95 percent compared to the same period last year, exceeding its production plan for the month in question by 1.3 percent.

In addition, in April this year Ashinskiy's sales of steel plates increased by 10 percent year on year to about 44,868 mt. Of this figure, 38,248 mt of plates were delivered to the Russian domestic market - double the figure in April last year, 1,004 mt were exported to non-CIS countries, and 5,615 mt were delivered to CIS countries.
