Argentinian crude steel output up 11.1 percent in June

Argentinian crude steel production in June rose 11.1 percent, year-on-year, but dropped 5.6 percent, month-on-month, to 413,500 mt, according to the nation’s steel association, Camara Argentina del Acero (CAA).

Argentinian crude steel production in the first half of the year (H1) was 2.5 million mt, 20.1 percent up, year-on-year.

Argentinian hot rolled finished steel output in June was 367,800 mt, 7.8 percent down, year-on-year, and 10.7 percent down, month-on-month. As for H1, hot rolled finished steel production increased 12.2 percent, year-on-year, to 2.4 million mt.

Argentinian cold rolled flat steel production in June grew 8 percent, year-on-year, and 20.7 percent, month-on-month. In the six-month period from January to June, Argentinian cold rolled flat steel output was 664,400 mt, 6 percent up, year-on-year.
