The Argentinian Ministry of Production has imposed a definite, ad-valorem antidumping duty on Chinese imports of both welded and seamless pipes.

The Argentinian government said Chinese imports of welded and seamless pipes used in oil pipelines, manufactured under the API 5L/ISO 3183 standards, with a diameter no greater than 406.4mm and a thickness not exceeding 12.7mmm, will pay a 26 percent AD duty. The duty will be added to the product’s FOB price at the Chinese port.

The products subject to the duty currently fall under the Mercosur HTS codes 7304.19.00 and 7306.19.00.

The Argentinian Ministry of Production said the duty was imposed following a request of local producers Tenaris Siderca, Tenaris SIAT and Tubhier.
