ArcelorMittal to launch second galvanizing line in Florange

According to local media sources, Luxembourg-based global steel giant ArcelorMittal is planning to launch a second galvanizing line called Galsa 2 at its Florange plant located in France, with a capacity of 800,000 mt per year. Total investment in the project amounted €89 million and the project will create 25 new jobs.

The new galvanizing line which is scheduled to start operation on November 18, 2019, will increase coated steel production capacity from 500,000 mt to 1.3 million mt per year. The new line will be producing coated steel for automakers.

Galsa 2 is expected to reach full capacity by the end of 2020.
