Austria-based international plant and equipment supplier Andritz has announced that it will supply a new direct-fired furnace for global steel giant ArcelorMittal’s France-based subsidiary ArcelorMittal Atlantique & Lorraine’s new continuous galvanizing line at its plant in Florange, France. Commissioning is planned for the third quarter of 2019.

According to Andritz, the order is part of ArcelorMittal’s project to convert an electro-galvanizing line to a continuous galvanizing line at the Florange plant, thus further strengthening its market position in advanced high-strength steels for the automotive industry.
