ArcelorMittal announces force majeure at French plant

In a letter to its customers seen by SteelOrbis, ArcelorMittal Europe has announced force majeure on its contractual undertakings due to paralysis of its port of Marseille and Fos plant operations.

The company informed its customers that the production and shipment program of its ArcelorMittal Méditerranée plant at Fos sur Mer in France has been significantly affected by a social movement regarding the reform of pension schemes in France at the national level.
