In the January-July period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 3.6595 million mt, up 18.9 percent year on year.
In addition, in the first seven months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 16.3 percent increase year on year in its finished steel output to 3.1636 million mt. During the period in question, pig iron production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 21.6 percent year on year to 3.2082 million mt.
Meanwhile, in July alone crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 28 percent to 544,100 mt, output of finished steel went up by 34.6 percent to 480,500 mt, and production of pig iron moved up by 31.2 percent to 477,500 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
During July, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih mastered production of class A-III (A400) 40 mm diameter rebar according to GOST Standard 5781.
