ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, Ukraine-based subsidiary of the world's largest integrated metals and mining company ArcelorMittal, has announced that it has approved a new quality policy, placing clear focus on customer and customer relations optimization, which has become "of utmost importance due to the overcoming of the consequences of the crisis in the steel consumer market."
"Unlike in the times of mass production in the past, we are moving to a more targeted approach to each and every customer. We have to be more flexible and dynamic to satisfy the demands of each individual customer. We have to be able to offer each customer a unique, tailor-made approach as our advantage in the highly competitive market, and our new quality policy defines this as a core priority," ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih's CEO Jean Jouet said.
The new policy sets the direction for a substantial increase in efficiency, productivity of labor, quality improvement and growth of competitiveness by implementing the "Lean production" system, developed and promoted in Japan and recognized worldwide as a must.
