ArcelorMittal Galati completes €1.2 million investment in two sintering machines

ArcelorMittal Galati, Romanian subsidiary of global steelmaker ArcelorMittal, has announced that it has completed the investment of over €1.2 million in two sintering machines to improve performance, including the building of a quick lime injection unit.
 
This investment will enable important cost reductions and allow ArcelorMittal Galati to use cheaper ores without affecting the quality of hot metal. The quick lime injection unit will boost the sinter production capacity as well.
 
The new injection facility successfully passed tests and is now in operation. The construction works were completed by a Romanian company within in a period of six months.
