ArcelorMittal and Rozak to build new SSC in Izmit

At ArcelorMittal's Steel Structure and Construction Summit held in Istanbul, Igal Zakuto, board member of major Turkish steel supplier Rozak (in which ArcelorMittal recently acquired a majority stake), announced Rozak's plans to commence the construction of a new steel service centre (SSC) in Izmit in northwestern Turkey.

Zakuto said that the annual capacity of the new SSC will be around 500,000 metric tons and that they will process both long and flat products, putting the main focus on H-beams. Zakuto also they will supply the products required by the increasing number of structural steel projects in Turkey, as well as in the Middle East and Caspian Sea regions.
