Anshan Steel blast furnace hit by serious accident

On the morning of August 26, a serious accident occurred at the new No. 3 blast furnace of Liaoning Province-based steelmaker Anshan Steel. There have been reports of a number of casualties and operations have been halted at the blast furnace. The loss of molten iron due to the accident is estimated at around 200,000 mt. No further information has been made available so far.
