Alteration of Ukrainian mill Krivoy Rog sales channels

The sales structure of the Ukrainian mill Krivoy Rog State Mining and Metallurgical Works (Krivorozhstal), owned by the Ministry of Industry of Ukraine has been changed. SteelOrbis understands that the new structure leaves previously used sales channels out, replacing them with two new sales companies. These two new companies to act as new sales channels for Krivoy Rog materials are Swiss based trading house Leman Commodities SA and US based company Interpipe. These two companies are now in discussions in order to agree upon which markets they will each handle. SteelOrbis understands that it is very likely that Interpipe will handle entire South American and Central American markets with certain exceptions such as Dominican Republic and a couple of others, West Africa, Slovakia and Czech Republic. It appears that Leman Commodities have so far secured North Africa including Morocco and former Yugoslavia in addition to the sales of all billets regardless of region. There are many other markets which are still being discussed over, among which Iran being a prime target. One thing is certain that the majority of Krivoy Rog sales will be handled by Leman which will, with this new opportunity, add additional quantities to their portofolio which will certainly now be over 10 millions tonnes of steel per annum.
