AHMSA resumes production at cold rolling mill following maintenance program

Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) resumed production at its No. 1 cold rolling mill, following a major maintenance program at the equipment, the company said this week.
 
According to AHMSA, the maintenance program at the cold rolling mill cost MXN 60 million ($2.76 million) and lasted for about three weeks.
 
Works included maintenance at its pickling units, mills, electrolytic cleaning machines, continuous annealing furnaces, as well as roller rectification.
 
AHMSA said repair and maintenance works generated about 800 direct jobs through several companies, including Ball, Relida, Sinergia, Majoma, SB Asesores, Siga, Bensa, Ami Ge, Cotse, Calera, Tramisa, Tubex, Corsa, Sigma, Vaga, Framesa, Axell, Alcas, Cosisa, Eben and Cramsa, among others.
