AHMSA posts third consecutive quarterly loss in 2019

Mexican integrated steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) posted its third consecutive quarterly loss thus far in the year.

AHMSA reported a net loss of MXN 2.26 billion ($118.3 million) in Q3, down from a net profit of MXN 360 million ($18.8 million) in the same quarter of the year prior.

The company saw its net revenues in Q3 decline 30.1 percent, year-on-year, to MXN 11.80 billion ($617.5 million).

AHMSA posted a negative EBITDA of $45 million in Q3 this year, down from an EBITDA of $90.1 million in Q3 2018.
