Acciaierie d’Italia has announced that a joint examination request has been submitted for the initiation of the new extraordinary wage guarantee fund provided for companies under extraordinary administration.

"The request, sent to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, as well as to the Unified Trade Union Representations and Trade Union Organizations, will affect an average number of employees up to a maximum of 5,200 and will concern all the company's sites," reads the press release.

The use of wage guarantee fund will be based on transparent criteria of strong personnel rotation, will be connected to the production levels of the plants, and will allow for the completion of the Restart Plan with the activation of the second blast furnace after the summer.

"The company, aware of the significant sacrifice it is asking of its people, wants to continue investing in a responsible industrial relations model capable of supporting this important phase of change," the press release concluded.
