Spot market prices within the US hollow structural sections tubing market are still holding lateral, in the range of $56-$58 cwt. ($1,235-$1,279/mt or $1,120-$1,160/nt) ex-mill, but sources close to SteelOrbis continue to report that ex-mill pricing is “flexible” for the right buyer.

The short-term expectation is that prices will remain flexible throughout the month of November, with a possible mill price increase being announced “at some point in December.”

Demand continues to be steady, sources note, adding that market conditions are similar to those that were reported a week ago.
