Buying activity is reviving gradually in the Polish welded pipe market amid better end-user demand after the seasonally slow summer period. Meanwhile, Polish welded pipe suppliers have been unable to achieve a rise in their prices as demand is not strong enough. As a result, Polish welded pipe producers have kept their prices steady at the levels of mid-August with the support of firm feedstock quotations.
At the same time, import offers of Italian welded pipes have increased by around €30/mt ($73/mt), while offers of Czech and Bulgarian origin material have stayed unchanged over the period under review.
Market players believe welded pipe quotations in Poland in the coming period will mostly be determined by the price trend in the flat steel product segment as demand is unlikely to surge due to the unfavorable economic situation in the region.
