In the CIS, Ukrainian and Russian exporters of seamless pipes continue to give offers for April production. The export offers of Russian producers have remained unchanged over the past month. Ukrainian manufacturer Interpipe has increased its export prices by around $50-100/mt over the same period, while export quotations of seamless pipes from Dnepropetrovsk Tube Works have remained unchanged. Market participants believe export quotations will stay at the current levels in the coming month amid moderate export demand. However, CIS producers expect to see increased purchasing activity from foreign buyers in May with the help of warmer weather, and this would allow them to push up their prices.

Export prices from Ukrainian mill Interpipe for April-May production hot-formed seamless pipes of 42-159 mm diameter as per GOST or ASTM currently vary in the range of $1,090-1,150/mt FOB, while quotations of pipes of 168-325 mm diameter are at $1,130-1,180/mt FOB.
