Taiwanese customers have accepted slight scrap price increase from US following the latest rebound in Turkey. The last transactions have been made at $225-226/mt CFR for ex-US HMS I/II (80:20) in containers, while the previous transactions have been at $220-225/mt CFR in the first week of October.

Suppliers from US have been trying to limit offer volumes and have been waiting for higher prices, sources in Taiwan said.

Meanwhile, offers for Japanese HMS I/II (50:50) have been heard to Taiwan at $240-245/mt CFR, but customers have been reluctant to buy.
