SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 500/mt ($17/mt) over the past week to NTD 9,500-10,200/mt ($314-321/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained unchanged over the past week at NTD 31,500-34,000/mt ($1,042-1,125/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-September shipments.
