According to market sources, a Turkish steel producer has concluded an ex-US deal for HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $290/mt CFR, shredded scrap at $295/mt CFR and bonus grade scrap at $300/mt CFR.

Early last week, it was observed that the same supplier concluded a sale to Turkey at $306/mt CFR for HMS I/II 90:10 scrap. Following the decreases recorded in the local US scrap market in the current week, import scrap prices in Turkey have followed suit and decreased sharply.
