Russian and Romanian scrap supplies limited for export

SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that scrap collection prices in Romania are hovering at $335-340/mt, while scrap supplies are limited in Romania and Russia. Some scrap transactions from Romania to Turkey have been reported to have been concluded at about $357-359/mt CFR.

In the meantime, ex-Russia scrap offers to Turkey have shown some increases, with A3 scrap offers reaching $365-370/mt CFR. A latest A3 scrap transaction to Turkey's steel production dense region of Iskenderun is concluded at $367/mt CFR, while an ex-St Petersburg A3 scrap cargo is sold to the same region at $375/mt CFR.
