Although winter conditions have been getting harsher in the Black Sea region, scrap prices have registered decreases. Scrap collection prices in the local Romanian market, which were at $360/mt last week, have started to stand in a wider but lower range of $340-355/mt. Meanwhile, ex-Romania A3 scrap offers to Turkey have softened from the level of $390-395/mt CFR to $385-390/mt CFR. However, Turkish buyers find these offers to be on the high side and are expecting offers at around $380-385/mt CFR Turkey. In the meantime, ex-Russia scrap offers to Turkey are standing at $390/mt CFR, though Turkish buyers are not interested in these offers either.
