Low demand and weak sentiment in local Italian pig iron market

SteelOrbis has learned that the ex-CIS pig iron offers to the Italian market currently stand in the range of $190-195/mt CFR for February and March deliveries. Supply is plentiful and demand is still weak, while market players do not see any hope for a price recovery in the short term even if some producer should try to raise its offer prices.
