Local Italian scrap prices mostly move sideways

During the past week, domestic scrap prices in Italy have almost remained unchanged since mills have no strong need to replenish their scrap stocks until January, with only busheling and shredded scrap prices increasing by €5/mt on the upper end. Expectations for prices at the beginning of the New Year appear to be slightly on the positive side, though low demand for Italian long steel products continues to constitute the main doubt for the future.
