Japanese H2 domestic scrap trends up

On February 27, SteelOrbis reported domestic H2 scrap prices in Japan at mini-mills in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya at JPY 32,100-32,400/mt ($289-292/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 37,000-37,400/mt ($333-337/mt) for shindachi scrap, all prices delivered to customer.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that scrap prices have continued trending up throughout the week and are now reportedly at JPY 32,600-32,800/mt ($291-293/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 37,500-37,800/mt ($335-338/mt) for shindachi, all prices delivered to customer. H2 scrap increased $2/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $1/mt from the top of the same range. Shindachi scrap increased $2/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $1/mt from the top.
