Iron ore prices register increases in China following holiday

Iron ore prices in China have registered increases as Chinese market players have returned to the market after the National Day holiday (October 1-7). Current prices are as follows:
 
SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that the price for Australian PB fines with 61.5 percent iron content has moved up by $6-7/mt as compared to the end of September and now stands at $112-113/mt CFR, while the price for Australian Yandi fines with 58 percent iron content is standing at $104-105/mt CFR, indicating an increase of $9/mt as compared to the end of September.
 
In the meantime, the price of Indian fines with 63-63.5 percent iron content is at $112-114/mt CFR, while the current price of Brazilian Carajas fines with 66 percent iron content is $120-122/mt CFR. Both price ranges have indicated an increase of $9/mt as compared to the end of September.
