India’s NMDC Limited hikes prices of iron ore fines and lumps

Indian state-run miner NMDC Limited has hiked prices of iron ore lumps and fines with immediate effect, according to a filing by the company on Thursday, August 11.

The price of iron ore lumps has been increased by INR 200/mt ($2.51/mt) to INR 4,100/mt ($51.57/mt) and the price of fines has been raised by INR 100/mt ($1.25/mt) to INR 2,910/mt) ex-pithead.

The prices are exclusive of royalty and mandatory payments to District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET), cess, forest permit fees and other statutory payments.
