Indian iron ore miner NMDC Limited hikes prices of lumps, fines for Jan

India’s state-run miner NMDC Limited has increased prices of iron ore lumps and fines for current month deliveries with immediate effect, sources said on Monday, January 2.

The sources said that the price of iron ore lumps has been hiked by INR 200/mt (2.42/mt) taking the effective price to INR 4,600/mt ($55.62/mt) ex-pithead, while the price of iron ore fines has increased by INR 500/mt ($6/mt) to INR 3,710/mt ($44.96/mt) ex-pithead.

The prices are exclusive of royalty and mandatory payments to District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET), cess, forest permit fees and other statutory payments.
