According to market sources, ex-CIS pig iron offers to the export markets, which were at $230-240/mt FOB two weeks ago, have decreased by $5/mt on the upper end to $230-235/mt FOB. Meanwhile, a Ukrainian steel producer’s pig iron export offers have declined by $5/mt month on month to $235/mt FOB. In the coming period, ex-Ukraine pig iron prices are expected to decrease slightly due to weak demand and since current price levels have not gained acceptance from buyers.
