According to market sources, ex-CIS pig iron offers are currently at $265-275/mt FOB, while CIS-based suppliers' offers to Turkey are now at $285-290/mt CFR. Market sources state that Turkish steel producers are seeking for lower pig iron prices from the CIS due to the declines seen in global scrap prices. Market players think that ex-CIS offers may be revised downwards in the coming days.
