SteelOrbis has learned that ex-CIS pig iron offer prices for the Italian market have increased by $10-15/mt over the past two weeks and now stand at $265/mt CIF. Market sources state that this price increase is not due to better demand conditions, but instead is due to the increases seen in prices of scrap, iron ore and coke.
