Ex-US scrap offers to Pakistan

On September 22, SteelOrbis reported shredded containerized scrap to Pakistan trading at $330/mt CFR from various sources including the UK and US. As Turkish import prices dropped, ex-US offers to Pakistan reportedly remained near $330/mt CFR “since their demand showed strength,” according to sources.

According to an East coast scrap exporter, containerized shredded scrap has been reportedly purchased by Pakistan buyers from various countries at $330-335/mt CFR Qasim through the week ended October 13. Ex-US offers of shredded containerized scrap to Pakistan are presently at $330-340/mt CFR.
