Over the past week, CIS-based pig iron suppliers have increased their export prices further, by $10/mt week on week to $295-310/mt FOB, on the back of the ongoing uptrend of raw material prices. Last week, Ukrainian steel producer DMZ Steel opened its pig iron export sales for May production at $285/mt FOB, closing them after selling about 30,000 mt of pig iron in total. Currently, DMZ Steel’s pig iron offers to the export markets for June production are in the range of $295-300/mt FOB. Meanwhile, Russian producer Tulachermet’s pig iron export offers have increased by $10/mt week on week to $300-310/mt FOB.
