Sources inform SteelOrbis that offers for premium hard coking coal to India are presently at $180-186/mt FOB Australia depending on volume, May or June shipment dates, and whether mid-volatile or low-volatile grades.

A source noted, “Coking coal prices have slowly but surely declined. Two months ago, prices on premium loads were easily $50/mt higher than now. Today, sufficient supplies and the still-tentative Chinese production environment have moved prices lower. Without any major delivery disruptions, I do not see the prices coming back up as high. The US tariffs have added uncertainty to the global pricing situation, but overall I have positive expectations for the remainder of the year.”
