SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have risen by NTD 300/mt ($9/mt) over the past week to NTD 9,300-10,000/mt ($283-305/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have declined by NTD 500/mt ($15/mt) over the past week to NTD 36,000-38,500/mt ($1,097-1,173/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early March shipments.
