SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have remained unchanged over the past week at NTD 8,300-9,000/mt ($264-286/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have increased by NTD 1,500/mt ($48/mt) over the past week at NTD 31,500-34,000/mt ($1,001-1,081/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-to-late January shipments.
