SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have risen by NTD 300/mt ($9/mt) over the past week to NTD 9,000-9,700/mt ($274-295/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 36,500-39,000/mt ($1,111-1,187/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early March shipments.
