SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 200/mt ($7/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,200-8,900/mt ($273-296/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have risen by NTD 500/mt ($17/mt) stable over the past week to NTD 30,000-32,500/mt ($999-1,083/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-September shipments.
